Guidelines for Submitting Article Ideas

Please email article ideas to the editor at [email protected]. Article proposals should consist of a 100-word summary, and indicate whether high resolution photos (300 dpi) are available. You will be notified if the magazine team chooses to develop your proposal into an article.

Business Alliance Program participants enrolled at the Core, Premier, or Signature Elite levels are entitled to submit articles for publication in The Review. Non-governmental businesses – excluding nonprofits – must be enrolled in the Business Alliance Program to submit articles.

Content
Through our Placemaking initiative, the League is helping local officials identify, develop, and implement strategies that will grow and strengthen Michigan’s communities in the coming decades.  Our magazine content primarily focuses on the eight assets of this initiative (see our Placemaking site for more information) and other breaking municipal concerns.

In keeping with the League’s mission, all material submitted for publication should provide information on local government issues that will be of assistance to local government officials. The League prefers articles that feature a project or official in a Michigan community. Members of the League’s Business Alliance Program are enouraged to submit article proposals.
