Law Enforcement Risk Control Manual – Request Access Form
This 33-chapter online manual of model policies and supporting documents covers most of the issues that police departments deal with daily. All of the policy documents were written by and for police chiefs, directors of public safety, and sheriffs from around the state, working closely with MML Loss Control Services staff.
The members of the MML Law Enforcement Action Forum (LEAF) labored, argued, and struggled to develop model policies that are specific enough to be useful, yet still adaptable to departments’ individual circumstances, while addressing and carefully balancing law enforcement operational needs, administrative requirements, and risk control concerns.
Access to the LERC manual is restricted to law enforcement executives, or their designees, of communities that participate in either the MML Workers’ Compensation Fund or the MML Liability & Property Pool, or both. To request access and establish your Username and Password, please submit the information below. We respond to most requests within 24 business hours.
