Emerging Leader Award

Award Criteria

As part of the League’s 125th-anniversary celebration, the new Emerging Leader Award seeks to recognize and celebrate the achievements of local government officials under the age of 40 from League member communities. This award celebrates the dynamic contributions of diverse leaders from across the state who are dedicated to advancing their communities, exemplify the League’s core values, and inspire others through their vision and drive. The new Emerging Leader Award highlights the importance of nurturing the next generation of leaders poised to tackle emerging issues and shape the future in Michigan with creativity, passion, and a deep commitment to their communities.
