The Michigan Municipal League is dedicated to making Michigan’s communities better by thoughtfully innovating programs, energetically connecting ideas and people, actively serving members with resources and services, and passionately inspiring positive change for Michigan’s greatest centers of potential: its communities.
What We Do
The Michigan Municipal League is the premier statewide association representing more than 500 full-service cities, villages,
and urban townships. Our members expect us to educate, advocate, and inspire their work as public servants building
community wealth for their residents and stakeholders. We accomplish this by providing unmatched services in everything
from professional development to executive recruitment to insurance and risk mitigation.
Our education programming is designed to bring forth new ideas informed by our research so that local leaders are on the cutting edge of municipal operations and service delivery.
Our advocacy is focused on raising the voice of Michigan municipalities that serve as first responders for every facet of civilian life for Michigan’s 10 million residents.
We strive to be a source of inspiration for our members by showcasing stories from home and abroad that demonstrate the full power of public service as a force for good in peoples’ lives.
The League is supported by a strategic and passionate board that is a critical part of the League’s organizational structure.
