MSHDA Announces Neighborhood Enhancement Program Funding

Posted on October 3, 2019 by Dene Westbrook

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) is pleased to announce that the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP) will provide up to $2 Million in MSHDA funding statewide for activities directly tied to stabilization and enhancement of Michigan neighborhoods.

The program’s intent is to fund tangible innovative housing-oriented activities that are: implementation ready; highly visible; impactful to the neighborhood and resident’s quality of life; and where there is buy-in and demonstrated support within the neighborhood.  A key factor in the success of the NEP is people who are engaged in their local community and facilitating change.

Selection of grant awards will be  based on population, geographical distribution, neighborhood need and proposed use of the NEP funds. Respondents must be able to mobilize quickly to meet the desired immediate action response.

The submission deadline is December 5, 2019.
