League to Participate in Conference Call About Transportation Reform Package

The 30-bill transportation reform package recently introduced in the Michigan Legislature is generating a great deal of interest and debate. The Michigan Municipal League’s Jason Mancini ([email protected]) will share his insights into these bills during a conference call being hosted by Trans4M (Transportation for Michigan). Other planned speakers are Tim Fischer of the Michigan Environmental Council, and Richard Murphy of the Michigan Suburbs Alliance.

The Michigan Municipal League believes that developing effective public transit options in Michigan is a necessary tool for attracting and retainng residents, workers and businesses. The League’s Center for 21st Century Communities initiative has made transit one of the eight vital assets for restoring Michigan to prosperity.
