Success Mortgage Partners is proud to join the Michigan Municipal League and other Michigan stakeholders in supporting the MI Home Program. As a Michigan-based business committed to helping families achieve the dream of homeownership, we recognize that addressing the state’s housing shortage is essential for both economic vitality and community well-being.

The MI Home Program represents a balanced and innovative approach to Michigan’s housing challenges by:

Investing in Housing Supply
By dedicating $160 million annually for five years, this program will help create and rehabilitate 10,000 attainable homes across Michigan.

Strengthening Communities Through Local Leadership
Instead of imposing one-size-fits-all mandates, the program rewards communities that modernize zoning and reduce barriers, ensuring solutions are tailored to local needs.

Partnership Over Preemption
This is a philosophy we strongly endorse. It allows municipalities to retain control while collaborating with the state and private sector to expand housing opportunities.

For Michigan businesses like ours, attainable housing isn’t just a social good — it’s an economic imperative. Families need access to stable, affordable homes to thrive. Employers need housing options to attract and retain talent. Lenders and developers need predictable, cooperative frameworks to ensure successful projects. The MI Home Program addresses these needs by creating a foundation where public and private interests align.

For these reasons, we urge Michigan’s policymakers to adopt and fund the MI Home Program in the upcoming budget cycle. This is a smart, sustainable, and collaborative solution that will deliver results for families, communities, and the economy alike.
