Senate Votes Unanimously to Establish Revenue Sharing Trust Fund

The continued pursuit of establishing a Revenue Sharing Trust Fund took a big step forward today as the Senate unanimously (37-0) passed Senate Bills 559, 561, and 912. The trust fund was also included in the budget proposal passed by the Senate ensuring in will be a point of negotiation going forward.
We want to express are gratitude to the bill sponsors, and every member of the Senate, for their efforts to deliver dedicated and predictable resources to local government. These funds support public safety, infrastructure, and key services our residents rely on and help make our communities great places to live.
It is imperative that we continue to express our support for this legislation and encourage members of the House and the Governor to support the creation of a Revenue Sharing Trust Fund.
