Transportation for Michigan calls for more Transportation Choices

Posted on September 5, 2012 by Dene Westbrook

In the month of August, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) held public meetings seeking comment on their 2035 MI Transportation Plan. As part of the process to help develop the 2035 MI Transportation Plan, the Transportation for Michigan (Trans4M) coalition is calling on MDOT to improve their long term transportation plan. Trans4M continues to call for  more choice when it comes to transportation options here in Michigan. Instead of just focusing on roads, the Trans4M coalition wants Michigan to move forward with their transportation system like other states have and provide a multi-modal system that will provide services for all users whether they are driving a car, riding a bike, walking or using public transit. You can read more about the Trans4M plan HERE.
