State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program now open through 10/11

Michigan local governments can now apply for FY 2025 funding through the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP).
The application period is open through Oct. 11, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
This funding cycle prioritizes critical infrastructure, with the strongest focus on publicly owned water and wastewater systems, followed by energy and transportation systems. The program requires that 25 percent of funding be directed to rural organizations, and applicants in counties with populations under 50,000 will receive additional points during the review process. DTMB is also giving priority consideration to eligible entities that have not previously received SLCGP funding.
Communities interested in applying should review the FY 2025 SLCGP Application Guidance for Eligible Applicants and submit an application through the FY 2025 SLCGP Application Submission Form.
