We are reaching out to ask for your help supporting a critical and timely initiative. In partnership, the Michigan Association of Counties, Michigan Municipal League, Michigan Townships Association, and the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments are working to gather letters encouraging Governor Gretchen Whitmer to support the passage of the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund legislation—House Bills 4274 and 4275.
THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW! The Revenue Sharing Trust Fund will benefit our communities by allocating resources in a secure and predictable manner. By supporting this legislation, we can help protect sustainable funding for vital services, economic opportunities, and our local infrastructure.
Your involvement in this initiative will make a significant difference. By signing and returning the attached letter, you will join supporters of local government from across Michigan in a collective effort to urge our Governor Whitmer to prioritize this critical legislation in lame duck.
Please take a moment to download this letter and consider adding your name to support the passage of House Bills 4274 and 4275. When completed, send it to [email protected]. Should you need more detailed information on the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund, click here.
We ask that letters of support be placed on your letterhead and be returned to [email protected] no later than Monday, December 2nd.
Once you sign the letter, do not let your impact stop there. Ask others in your community to do the same. Reach out to your counterparts and friends in other communities and ask them to join this effort. We are doing that, which means you may see this communication more than once.
Together, we can make a positive impact.
