Please Review: 2022 Millage Rates

Posted on January 24, 2023 by John LaMacchia

The Department of Treasury has compiled 2022 millage rates and uses them to audit homestead property tax credits, so it’s important the rates match the rates that were actually on the July and December 2022 tax bills.

To ensure accuracy, the department has requested that treasurers review their 2022 total millage rates reported at www.michigan.gov/taxes/-/media/Project/Websites/taxes/4029/Total-Rates-Reports/2022-Total-Rates.pdf.

If the reported rates do not match the rates actually levied on the July and December tax bills, please email Jessica Erhardt, Property Services Division, MI Department of Treasury, [email protected] and attach a copy of the relevant July and December 2022 tax bills.
