Connecting Michigan Communities (CMIC) Grant Public Comment Period

Posted on February 11, 2019 by Dene Westbrook

The State of Michigan, through the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) is providing a grant opportunity for projects that exclusively extend broadband service into unserved areas in Michigan.  Applications for the Connecting Michigan Communities (CMIC) Grant are to be received through a competitive grant process that is technology neutral and results in awards based on objective and efficient procedures.

DTMB is accepting public comment on the grant criteria and process as identified in the enabling legislation, SB610 (2018), Section 806, through February 15, 2019.  Comments are to be submitted via email to [email protected].

Additional information regarding the CMIC Grant, and updates as they are available, can be found at www.michigan.gov/CMICGrant.
