This afternoon the House reported the omnibus budget that includes EVIP language. The House did not recommend an increase in EVIP funding. In addition yesterday they removed the language penalizing those communities who had settled contracts between December 2012 and March 28, 2013 before right to work went into effect.

Unfortunately the House did include language requiring posting of salaries, contracts over $25,000 and severance packages on a community’s website. The League is continuing to push that this language be removed.

Budget negotiations between the chambers will continue over the next month or so, and it is anticipated the budget will be done by early June.
