Final stretch for Personal Property Tax (PPT) – keep the pressure on!

Posted on December 12, 2012 by Dene Westbrook

Wednesday evening the Senate passed House Bills 6022, 6024-26, the bills creating the use tax/essential services assessment reimbursement plan. The repeal bills, SBs 1065-1072, remained on the House floor without a vote.

You can view how your Senator voted in the Senate Journal when it’s published here on the legislative website. We are continuing to push our message of full and guaranteed replacement, and that message is resonating with lawmakers. Keep calling, emailing and texting your legislators to let them know we need full and guaranteed replacement, and that we have a number of unresolved questions and concerns regarding the proposal before them. There is only one anticipated day left in lame duck session – it’s not enough time to fix the problems in the proposal.
