Posted on October 8, 2012 by Dene Westbrook

A group called Destination Development International who, in over five years, has surveyed and visited 400 successful downtowns (big, small, urban and rural) throughout the U.S. and Canada, is providing at three part webinar series on the20 most common ingredients that led to a downtown’s success.

In this first of three 60-minute webinars, (a three-part series taking place in Oct., Nov., and Dec.), you’ll learn the first seven ingredients including:

  * The rule of critical mass or clustering, and how to make it happen in your downtown

  * The power of anchor tenants

  * Consistent and common operating days and hours

  * Pioneers with patient money

  * Plus three other critical ingredients

You’ll see dozens of photographic examples, case histories and “how they did it” examples.

If you want increased tourism, new residents, new investment, and want to stem the “leakage” of locally-earned money being spent elsewhere, this webinar will provide you with the answers.

Who should attend? This is an absolute must see event for planners, downtown & tourism organizations, chambers of commerce, elected  officials and staff members, historical societies, property owners, and especially retail businesses.

Price:

  * Individual – $45

  * Small group (2-5 participants) – $85

  * Large group (More than 5 participants) – $125
