The 2008 Jim Sinclair Exceptional Service Award Winner

2008 Award Honors Mount Morris Mayor

The League’s first annual Jim Sinclair Exceptional Service Award was presented last year to Mount Morris Mayor Robert Slattery Jr. for his personal dedication, passion and commitment to the League and its mission.

Created in memory of Roger City Councilmember Jim Sinclair, the peer-nominated award celebrates a person who tirelessly promotes local government and continued training for elected officials.

“Jim Sinclair was the most passionate, humbly sincere advocate of the League, continued education for local officials and selfless service to our citizens I have ever known,” said Slattery. “I am so highly honored to be the first recipient of this award created to perpetuate his memory and legacy.”
