The deadline for Non-Entitlement Units of Local Government (NEUs) to submit the required reports is Saturday, April 30.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to sending an email to Treasury or calling Treasury, MML members can also send an email to the NLC for assistance at <a href=\"mailto:SLFRFhelp@nlc.org\">SLFRFhelp@nlc.org<\/a>. NLC will then push these emails to U.S. Treasury to TRY to get a resolution in a reasonable time frame. Additionally, NLC has prepared two blogs that NEUs can reference to help navigate the process of filing their annual reports. The blogs can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nlc.org\/article\/2022\/04\/21\/arpa-reporting-deadline-for-small-communities-is-april-30\/\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nlc.org\/article\/2022\/04\/01\/choosing-the-standard-allowance-for-arpa-reporting\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Below are commonly asked questions from municipalities that the Treasury Department has compiled in Q&amp;A format. These answers may be useful in responding to a municipality&#8217;s questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question: I have a number of questions about the reporting process, where is the best resource for general information about reporting? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recipients should visit Treasury&#8217;s reporting <a href=\"https:\/\/home.treasury.gov\/policy-issues\/coronavirus\/assistance-for-state-local-and-tribal-governments\/state-and-local-fiscal-recovery-funds\/recipient-compliance-and-reporting-responsibilities\">homepage<\/a> for extensive information on the reporting process including a user guide with step-by-step instructions, how to videos, and other resources to answer commonly asked questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question: I can fill out the report but when I go to submit it says I am not the Authorized Representative and cannot submit. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Treasury has updated roles for all NEUs at this time and recipients having this issue should try again to submit their report. If they need to change roles themselves, users can watch the video here: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/w7vbi94rVDIIf\">youtu.be\/w7vbi94rVDIIf<\/a>. If they continue to have issues, they should reach out to the Treasury helpdesk at <a href=\"mailto:SLFRF@treasury.gov\">SLFRF@treasury.gov<\/a> or call their call center at 844-529-9527.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question: After logging in error message appears that\u00a0says &#8220;No matching contact record was found. Please contact your Account Administrator to create a Contact Record for you in the system&#8230;.&#8221; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This means Treasury does not currently have this person&#8217;s email address listed as a contact person for a particular recipient. They should e-mail Treasury at <a href=\"mailto:SLFRF@treasury.gov\">SLFRF@treasury.gov<\/a> or call their call center at 844-529-9527.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question: I sent an email requesting help but I have not heard back yet. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Treasury has received a large number of messages from recipients and some recipients are experiencing a delay in receiving a response. Their helpdesk staff are working as fast as possible to respond to all messages in the order they are received. Recipients should avoid sending multiple emails to the inbox with the same question as this will further delay responses for recipients as helpdesk staff take the time to review duplicate inquiries.<\/p>\n<p><em>John LaMacchia is the League\u2019s director of state &amp; federal affairs.
