Dan Gilmartin, MML<\/p><\/div>\n

Dan Gilmartin, Michigan Municipal League (MML) CEO and Executive Director, met with Michigan State University journalism students recently and covered an array of topics\u2014<\/span><\/span>from road funding to housing rehabilitation. The conversation resulted in numerous articles written by the Spartan Newsroom students that were subsequently picked up in media outlets across the state.<\/p>\n

The MML has a long-standing goal of being responsive to and supportive of the news media, colloquially known as the fourth branch of government. Gilmartin has long maintained that one of the best ways to do that is to support budding journalists on their path to ensuring we all have access to vital information about our government and our community.<\/p>\n
