{"id":7146,"date":"2020-03-23T09:45:29","date_gmt":"2020-03-23T13:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.mml.org\/wp\/inside208\/?p=7146"},"modified":"2020-03-23T09:45:29","modified_gmt":"2020-03-23T13:45:29","slug":"annual-liquor-license-expiration-dates-have-been-extended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mml.org\/inside208\/2020\/03\/23\/annual-liquor-license-expiration-dates-have-been-extended\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual Liquor License Expiration Dates Have Been Extended"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) state of emergency, the Liquor Control Commission voted to extend the expiration date of liquor licenses in 2020 from April 30, 2020 to May 31, 2020.\u00a0 This action was taken by the Commission on March 13, 2020 when it approved <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.mml.org\/wp\/coronavirus\/files\/2020\/03\/Administrative-Order-2020-05-License-Expiration-Date.pdf\">Administrative Order 2020-05<\/a>, pursuant to MCL 436.1501(2).\u00a0This will allow licensees an additional month to submit their renewal applications and renewal payments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Information for Local Governmental Unit Objections To Renewals<\/strong><br \/>\nBecause the expiration date of licenses was extended from April 30, 2020 to May 31, 2020, the period of time for local governmental units to object to the renewal of a liquor license has been extended to the end of April 2020 in compliance with MCL 436.1501(2).\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Objections to renewal must be received no later than April 30, 2020<\/strong>.\u00a0 Please mail objections to renewals to\u00a0<strong>Liquor Control Commission, P.O.
