Within that budget there was significant discussion about revenue for roads. The Governor was advocating for new revenue and the Legislature sent her a budget that included $400 more in General Fund spending which she vetoed.<\/p>\n<p>The budget deal that was signed includes a small increase in transportation funding but does not include new revenue or a significant infusion of General Fund dollars. At this point the legislature and the Governor agree there needs to be a solution for funding our roads, but agreement still appears to be a ways off.<\/p>\n<p>MDOT has produce the estimated Act 51 distribution for FY 2020 based on the budget signed by the Governor.
