This program is referred to as the Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development, or BUILD Transportation Discretionary Grants program.\u00a0 Funds for the FY 2019 BUILD Transportation Discretionary Grants program are to be awarded on a competitive basis for projects that will have a significant local or regional impact. \u00a0\u00a0The FY 2019 BUILD Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and related information, including initial FAQs and a schedule for public webinars, is now available on the BUILD website (<a href=\"https:\/\/gcc01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.transportation.gov%2FBUILDgrants&amp;data=02%7C01%7CLeixT%40michigan.gov%7C27d7d9b99ab143aa6bb408d6c366c904%7Cd5fb7087377742ad966a892ef47225d1%7C0%7C0%7C636911243557566035&amp;sdata=CKnz5F9WdtFaWpsuB8S6EVTAL5kZzE9tekDOMyW3VEc%3D&amp;reserved=0\">https:\/\/www.transportation.gov\/BUILDgrants<\/a>).\u00a0 <strong>The application deadline is July 15, 2019.<\/strong>\u00a0 The NOFO is expected to be published in the Federal Register on Monday, April 22. \u00a0In the next few days, previous BUILD applicants will be notified of the availability of the NOFO.<\/p>\n<p>To provide technical assistance to stakeholders, DOT is hosting a series of webinars during the FY 2019 BUILD grant application period.
