Through your internet browser, IMS provides access to asset management data on MDOTs air, marine and rail facilities and services.<\/p>\n<p>The application is provided free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>To register for IMS, you will first need to obtain a <em>MILogin<\/em> account at <a href=\"https:\/\/milogintp.michigan.gov\">https:\/\/milogintp.michigan.gov<\/a>. Follow the directions to obtain a <em>UserId <\/em>and <em>Password<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have that, access <em>MILogin<\/em> at the same link, enter your new <em>UserId <\/em>and <em>Password<\/em> and:<\/p>\n<p>Phase 1 \u2013 Request Access<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on <strong>Request Access<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n<li>Select <em>Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT)<\/em> as your agency<\/li>\n<li>Select <em>Intermodal Management System (IMS)<\/em> as your application<\/li>\n<li>Submit the request<\/li>\n<li>Provide any additional information (this will likely be prefilled)<\/li>\n<li>Logout<\/li>\n<li>Wait ten minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Phase 2 \u2013 Security Verification<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Login to <em>MILogin<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Click on <em>Intermodal Management System (IMS)<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Fill out the information to <em>Request Access to IMS<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Submit the application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that verification and access can take up to five business days.<\/p>\n<p>Any questions can be addressed to <a href=\"mailto:MDOT-IMSAdministrator@Michigan.gov\">MDOT-IMSAdministrator@Michigan.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>John LaMacchia is the Assistant Director of State and Federal Affairs for the League handling transportation, infrastructure, energy and environment issues.
