Here are examples of how Michigan uses the census count for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/treasury\/local\/share\/evip\/constitutional\">constitutional revenue sharing<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/mdot\/-\/media\/Project\/Websites\/MDOT\/Business\/Local-Government\/Act-51\/Census\/2020-Census-Update-Locals.pdf?rev=844e754e26cb4c8ebc326529c9351782&amp;hash=31F356F47879CCC8046741D9B4960C8D\">transportation funding<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Census Bureau is offering training for the 2030 Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) operation next week. Counties, townships, cities, and villages are eligible to participate in LUCA or to designate a liaison to participate on their behalf. The Census Bureau uses LUCA address updates to identify where people live, where to mail census questionnaires, and where to conduct non-response follow-up for a more complete count.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The LUCA webinar will take place on <strong>Wednesday, June 3, from 1-3pm EDT<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Registration is required.
