These changes support the MML&#8217;s pro-housing policy work.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the act allowed for up to 4 splits of the first 10 acres of a parent parcel. PA 58 expands this number to allow for up to 10 splits of the first 10 acres of a parent parcel. This change takes effect on March 24,<strong> 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>PA 58 also allows a municipality or county to authorize by ordinance further splitting of a parcel into a greater number of parcels as long as it complies with the standards set forth in an ordinance of the municipality or county having authority to approve or disapprove a division under section 109(1).
