As a reminder, this proposal seeks to eliminate all property taxes in the state of Michigan. If successful, it would have devastated local services\u2014not just for our cities, villages, and townships, but for every public entity funded by property tax.<\/p>\n<p>The Michigan Municipal League has led advocacy efforts to provide education and materials on this proposal&#8217;s true impact on communities.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage you to continue helping your community understand the importance of local funding to provide vital services and create the places they call home.
