Local units of government are able to apply for a grant to purchase fire equipment for part-time, on-call or volunteer firefighters through the MI Fire Equipment Grant Program. Applications are being accepted through July 10, 2023<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Grant awards may be requested by qualified local governments to reimburse for eligible fire equipment expenses incurred on or after August 1, 2022.<\/p>\n

Those who may apply: Any administrative official representing or assisting a city, village, township, county, or authority that provide fire department services, including clerks, treasurers, elected officials, finance directors, city, township, or village managers, chief executive officers, and fire department chiefs, among others.<\/p>\n

Applications and supporting documentation must be submitted through the State of Michigan\u2019s eSignature Solution by July 10, 2023<\/span>. Applications are available at the link here.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Grant awards are anticipated to be announced in early-August 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
