The members of the Michigan Press Association would like to urge local governments to move from traditional press conferences to doing them by live stream\u00a0or other technologies with the ability for reporters to ask questions remotely during the current coronavirus crisis.<\/em><\/p>\n

We are all on the same page regarding getting information out to the public right now.\u00a0 Our members want to help you do that and still comply with the Governor\u2019s guidelines as much as possible.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

Here is an example<\/a> of what Oakland County is doing. This format allows the journalists to have the ability to ask questions and view the live stream of the press conference while keeping your members and ours safe.<\/em><\/p>\n
