The legislation, supported by Secretary of State Ruth Johnson, would allow voters to register online at ExpressSOS.com. The system would authenticate identities by matching applicants with their driver&#8217;s license information.<\/p>\n<p>The Senate Elections and Government Reform Committee voted 5-0 to report the five bill package of Senate Bill\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(ohbubmbx5wjtotwkozacol4o))\/mileg.aspx?page=getObject&amp;objectName=2017-SB-0425\">425<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(ohbubmbx5wjtotwkozacol4o))\/mileg.aspx?page=getobject&amp;objectname=2017-SB-0426\">426<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(ohbubmbx5wjtotwkozacol4o))\/mileg.aspx?page=getobject&amp;objectname=2017-SB-0427\">427<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(ohbubmbx5wjtotwkozacol4o))\/mileg.aspx?page=getobject&amp;objectname=2017-SB-0428\">428<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(ohbubmbx5wjtotwkozacol4o))\/mileg.aspx?page=getobject&amp;objectname=2017-SB-0429\">429<\/a>.
