Changes coming to Projectwise workflow Dec. 1

MDOT LAP has posted LAP Advisory 2021-06 regarding new procedures for local agencies to request their ProjectWise folder and submit their Environmental Clearance 5323 form.

Effective December 1, 2021, local agencies will be required to request a ProjectWise project folder prior to submitting their Environmental Clearance 5323 Form to MDOT Local Agency Program (LAP).  The procedures for requesting a ProjectWise project folder can be accessed on the MDOT LAP website or directly by clicking here.  The full advisory can be accessed on the MDOT LAP Advisories website or directly by clicking here.

Any questions regarding this advisory can be directed to Monica Uribe, P.E., Rural Project Development Engineer at [email protected] or Michele Zawerucha, P.E., Urban Project Development Engineer at [email protected].

Help shape the future of MDOT’s Hydraulics Program

MDOT’s Local Agency Program (LAP) is seeking volunteers to provide feedback on changes coming to the Hydraulic Program!

Volunteers will assist LAP by reviewing updated policies, guidance and other miscellaneous tasks as MDOT responds to recommendations made by the Federal Highway Administration in its review of the MDOT Hydraulics Program.

This effort will span the next year or two. However, the time commitment shouldn’t be extensive since this is to review draft documents as they are produced.

Contact Tracie Leix, PE, LAP engineer-manager, at [email protected] with questions or to express interest in participating.

John LaMacchia is the Assistant Director of State and Federal Affairs for the League handling transportation, infrastructure, energy and environment issues. He can be reached at [email protected] or 517-908-0303.
