LANSING, Michigan – The Michigan Senate just posted one finance committee meeting for next Tuesday, May 1 at 8 a.m. in the Boji Tower at 125 W. Allegan St in Lansing. This could be the last day the committee takes testimony on the proposal by the administration to eliminate a significant portion of the personal property tax before they vote on the bills.
The committee held two hearings this week, where many other organizations, businesses, and local governments testified. Please contact us if you have an interest in testifying and would like more information. This issue could move very quickly and we encourage you to continue talking to your legislators about the impact this would have on your community.
Summer Minnick is the Director of State Affairs for the League. She can be reached at (517) 908-0301 or [email protected].
