The Michigan Municipal League Foundation is developing a Consensus Building curriculum and we need help from our communities. Specifically, we’re looking for your stories in two key areas:
- Stories of members trying community engagement strategies. We’re looking for both stories of success and stories where the community engagement practice didn’t necessarily pan out.
- Stories of projects municipal leaders were excited about, but didn’t go according to plan or be received as anticipated. An example would be a municipality built a community center in a particular neighborhood thinking it would be wonderful for the community, but it hasn’t been used as planned, etc.
If you have story ideas related to these two items we would love to hear from you as we develop a new Consensus Building curriculum. Please share your story ideas by emailing the MML Foundation’s Grace Carey at [email protected]. Thank you!
