At the November 6, 2012 general election a number of ballot initiatives will be presented to Michigan voters. The Citizens Research Council (CRC) has issued a comprehensive review of Proposal 3, asking voters to amend the Michigan Constitution to require electric utilities to provide at least 25 percent of their retail electricity sales from renewable sources by the year 2015. The analysis is available on CRC’s website.
In addition CRC is offering webinars on all of the ballot iniatiives. A webinar on Proposals 3 (renewable energy), 5 (2/3 vote requirement) and 6 (international crossings) will be held on Friday, October 5 from 2-3:30. A webinar on Proposals 1 (PA 4), 2 (collective bargaining) and 4 (home health care worker unionization) will occur on October 8 at 2 p.m.
