The Department of Treasury just announced they will conduct four virtual Board of Review Trainings using Zoom on February 27, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, February 28, 2024, from 9:00 am – Noon and 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, and February 29, 2024, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Each training is limited to 300 people and is free of charge.

The State Tax Commission’s Policy on Virtual Board of Review Training Requirements requires that each person attending virtually have video capability and remain on video throughout the training.
For Board of Review members that do not have the required video capability or prefer to attend the virtual training in a group setting, local units may host a “group watch” party with several Board of Review members attending the virtual training using one device or projector, etc. to watch the training. A local unit that chooses to host a “group watch” must have an assessor or other local unit official present to ensure attendance throughout the three-hours and sign the attendance sheet to be returned to the State Tax Commission.
