Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) for Rural and Tribal Applicants Webinar
Monday, April 24, 2023, 3:30-4:30 PM ET
The Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. The FY2023 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for SS4A grants is currently live on Grants.gov and open for applications through July 10, 2023.
The ROUTES and Thriving Communities teams are partnering to host this webinar for rural and Tribal communities. Participants will learn how the SS4A program can support planning, infrastructure, behavioral, and operational initiatives to prevent death and serious injury on roads and streets involving all roadway users. The webinar will feature introductory remarks from Departmental leadership, an overview of the SS4A program, and Q&A.
The SS4A program supports Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg’s National Roadway Safety Strategy and the Department’s goal of significantly reducing serious injuries and deaths on our Nation’s roadways. Last year, 510 communities received over $800 million to develop action plans and implement strategies and projects to make our transportation system safer.
