Critical Information about Access to MDOT’s JobNet
By: Dene Westbrook, February 12, 2020

It has come to the League’s attention that MDOT’s IT Security Office will not allow JobNet access for requests that do not have a valid Email address. MDOT’s IT security considers a email address to be valid when it has:

  • The users name or an abbreviated version of their name as the username section (first part)
  • And an organization as the domain (second part)
  • The ending of .com, .org, .gov, or.net does not matter

Email address that have a job title as the username are also considered invalid as well as public domains such as Yahoo and Gmail.
