Critical Information about Access to MDOT’s JobNet

Posted on February 12, 2020 by Dene Westbrook

It has come to the League’s attention that MDOT’s IT Security Office will not allow JobNet access for requests that do not have a valid Email address. MDOT’s IT security considers a email address to be valid when it has:

  • The users name or an abbreviated version of their name as the username section (first part)
  • And an organization as the domain (second part)
  • The ending of .com, .org, .gov, or.net does not matter

Email address that have a job title as the username are also considered invalid as well as public domains such as Yahoo and Gmail.

Any questions should be directed to Josh Grab, RTF / RPA Program Manager, Statewide Planning Section. He can be reached at (517) 335-2973 or [email protected].

John LaMacchia is the Assistant Director of State and Federal Affairs for the League handling transportation, infrastructure, energy and environment issues. He can be reached at [email protected] or 517-908-0303.
