The League’s 2018 Capital Conference brought together local officials from all across the state to learn from experts in the field, gather the latest intel on legislation, and network with colleagues. The general and breakout sessions covered a host of topics, including council-manager relations, medical marijuana, NLC’s federal advocacy, the League’s SaveMICity initiative, and a Lansing insiders’ view of policy and politics. PowerPoint presentations from many of these sessions are now available on the Presentations page of our Capital Conference site.
NEW this year, we’ve added videos from 3 sessions to the Presentations page:
- The National League of Cities and How they Advocate on Your Behalf – Irma Esparza Diggs, Senior Executive & Director, Federal Advocacy for the National League of Cities
- SaveMICity – Anthony Minghine, Deputy Executive Director & COO, Michigan Municipal League
- Inside the Capital Dome: Lansing Insiders Break Down Policy and Politics – Adrian Hemond, Partner & CEO, Grassroots Midwest; Emily Lawler, Capitol Reporter, MLive; and Jonathan Oosting, Politics Reporter, The Detroit News
So if your laptop died as you were taking notes, or you’d just like to view the presentations again, check them out here.
