The Michigan Chapter of the NBA is planning an all-day program in Lansing on February 21. This program will provide practical advice to municipalities on issues relating to development of brownfield plans. Experts from municipalities and the State will talk about all the do’s and don’ts for development of brownfield plans and reimbursement agreements.
Additionally, representatives of the MEDC and MDEQ will talk about very important recent changes to Michigan’s Brownfield Program, the Community Revitalization Program and the MDEQ Grant and Loan Program. There have been significant improvements in all three programs. For those interested in understanding and accessing these programs for brownfield and urban redevelopment, you will want to attend this program.
Finally, the newly appointed Chief Operating Officer of the MEDC, Steve Hilfinger, will be a featured luncheon speaker and will discuss the future goals and objectives of the administration and the MEDC relating to urban and brownfield redevelopment.
More details and registration will be coming soon.
