National Coalition “Fix the Debt” Creates Michigan Chapter, League CEO on Steering Committee

A national coalition called “Fix the Debt” which is urging the President and Congress to resolve the escalating national debt in conjuntion with avoiding sending the US ovver the “fiscal cliff” has created a Michigan chapter. League CEO and Executive Director Dan Gilmartin is on the Steering Committee along with Mayors Richard Clanton of Kentwood, Dan Paletko of Dearborn Heights and Dayne Walling of Flint. The coalition is not advocating for specific budget cuts or revenue increases, but is urging some solution be realized that avoids the fiscal cliff and brings down the national debt.
