US Department of Transportation Seeking local Feedback on National Environmental Policy Act

Posted on September 24, 2012 by Dene Westbrook

From Secretary LaHood:

I am writing to ask you to participate in the U.S. Department of Transportation’s on-line survey on categorical exclusions. Your responses—and those of other key stakeholders—will give us valuable information as we consider whether to develop any new categorical exclusions from the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for transportation projects, and whether to issue any further guidance on NEPA.

I hope you will take the time to provide your input on this very important topic.  This survey is mandated by Section 1318 of MAP-21.  Participation is voluntary.
You can access the survey between now and September 17, 2012 at https://www.research.net/s/section1318survey.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this survey.  If you have questions, please email our DOT team at [email protected], and they will respond directly to you.

Summer Minnick is the Director of Policy Initiatives and Federal Affairs. She can be reached at (517) 908-0301 or [email protected]
