The Michigan Green Fleets Program is hosting a training for first responders next week on responding to incidents involving alternative fuel vehicles. There are a few spots left, but those interested need to register before the end of this week.
There are now hundreds of vehicles running on fuel other tan gas or diesel, a consideration that fire departments and other first responders need to be familiar with to manage fires and other hazards. The fuel types that will be covered include compressed natural gas, propane, electric vehicles and hydrogen.
The training is next week – on Monday in Grand Rapids and Tuesday in Dearborn. For more information, visit the website.
