This week is the National League of Cities Congressional Cities Conference and yours truly along with League CEO/Executive Director Dan Gilmartin, and local officials from across Michigan are descending on our nation’s capitol during what will be a critical week in the Senate for a new transportation bill.

We’ll be visiting with Senators Levin and Stabenow to discuss not only transportation but the federal budget and programs of importance to local communities and quality of life.  Unfortunately, the House will be out of town back in their districts.  So while we’re here, please be sure to use this time to speak with your congressional representative back home!

The conference itself will feature several speakers from the administration and sessions on transportation, economic development and many others.
