Michigan Municipal League to Host Webinar on Governor Snyder’s 2012-13 Budget Plan

On Thursday (Feb. 9, 2012) Michigan Governor Snyder will unveil his 2012-13 budget proposal. Are more cuts coming? What will it mean for your Michigan community’s budget? Will it be good news or bad news for your city, village or urban township? Michigan Municipal League staff and an official from the Citizens Research Council will help League members answer these budget-related questions and more during a FREE webinar 10-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13.

League staff will analyze the governor’s budget plan and be prepared to answer your questions about it during this free webinar. Participating in the discussion will be Eric Lupher, director of state affairs for the for the Citizens Research Council of Michigan; and the League’s Summer Minnick, director of state affairs; Andy Schor, associate director of state affairs; and Jason Mancini, legislative associate.

Anticipated topics to be covered include the latest news about the Economic Vitality Incentive Program (EVIP) and consolidation grants, transportation funding, the personal property tax issue and more.
