Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Emergency Management
Question:
What information do you have to help us draft an emergency operations
procedure?
Answer:
An EOP (Emergency Operations Plan) is a working document designating
in minute detail a community's response, recovery and mitigation procedures
during an emergency. The local plans should manage the situation at the
local level while tapping county, state and federal resources available
during an emergency situation. The Emergency Management Division of the
Michigan State Police has a training section for local officials responsible
for management of disasters. Contact them for course registration information
at 517-336-6198. The League Information Service has a few sample emergency
preparedness plans we can send, as well as articles and publications on
the subject.
