Michigan Municipal League Honors Former Troy Councilmember
DETROIT, Michigan – The Michigan Municipal League honored former Troy councilmember Robin Beltramini with an Honorary Life Membership and the Ambassador Award during the League’s Annual Convention Sept. 19 in Detroit.
“Robin is a past president of the Michigan Municipal League Board of Trustees and could often be found testifying in Lansing on behalf of communities, or presenting to national leaders through her role with the National League of Cities,” said League CEO and Executive Director Dan Gilmartin.
Beltramini also served on the League’s Legislative Governance Committee, Nominating Committee, Legal Defense Fund, and Finance and Taxation Committee. In addition, she was a member of the Policy and Finance Committee with the National League of Cities.
During her time on the League board, she helped rewrite the League’s legislative policies, and in 2008 received the outstanding service award for her work on that project and her work on legislative issues in general.
About the award: The Honorary Life Membership, first awarded in 1932, is the League’s highest individual honor, reserved for the most active and inspiring leaders dedicated to the League and its mission.
