Lansing, MI - The Michigan Municipal League recently hired Jason Mancini as legislative associate. Mancini of Livonia will join the League’s Capital office staff and will lobby and provide policy development on issues surrounding transportation and municipal infrastructure, including mass transit, economic development, road, bridge and sewer system maintenance and environmental affairs.
Mancini comes to the League from the Michigan House of Representatives where he served as policy advisor since early 2010 and his experience includes being lead policy advisor to the standing committee on education and to the appropriations subcommittees for the Department of Education and School Aid. He’s also done policy work in the areas of tax, labor and urban policy as well as military and veterans’ affairs.
“We were very impressed with Jason’s variety of policy experience and look forward to having him on as part of our state affairs team,” said State Affairs Director Summer Minnick.
League CEO Dan Gilmartin added: “Jason will be an excellent addition to our outstanding Lansing team and we look forward to him furthering our transportation and municipal infrastructure work.”
