Ford CEO and President Makes Appearance at League Convention
Ford's Alan Mulally Tops List of Guest Speakers at September Event
Dearborn, Michigan (July 26, 2010) – Ford Motor Company president and CEO Alan Mulally will be at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn on Sept. 21 to welcome local community leaders from around the state as they gather in Ford's hometown for the Michigan Municipal League's 112th Annual Convention.
Mulally will speak during the general session on Tuesday, sharing some insights and inspirations on how Michigan's communities can reinvent themselves. He also plans to take questions from the audience during a 30-minute Q&A following his presentation.
Mulally has played a key role in moving Ford forward to reclaim its place as an industrial and economic force around the globe, reinventing the brand as a leader in quality and green innovation. That resurgence has led to the Detroit Three outscoring foreign automakers for the first time in 13 years, according to a recent J.D. Powers survey.
Mulally's highly anticipated appearance at the Convention is expected to be a major highlight of the impressive roster of speakers during the four-day event.
The Michigan Municipal League advocates on behalf of its member communities in Lansing, Washington D.C., and the courts; provides educational opportunities for elected and appointed municipal officials; and assists municipal leaders in administering services to their communities through League programs and services.
