Why do we have Regional Education Seminars?

The MML established its regional organization in 1953 to facilitate an effective interchange of ideas on municipal problems.

At each annual regional meeting a chairman, vice chairman and secretary are elected by their peers. Usually each person steps up one level of office each year. This gives the officers visibility in their regions and is a great way to become involved in MML activities which can possibly lead to nomination and election to the MML Board of Trustees.

Each spring a meeting is held in the municipality of the regional chairman. These seminars are an opportunity for city and village officials to meet and share experiences and ideas. The educational programming for each region is developed by its regional officers.
