Your one-stop spot for League events and educational training! July 7, 2011
The 2011 League Convention, October 4-7, in Grand Rapids, will take place during ArtPrize. In support of art education, the League has partnered with the Grand Rapids Student Advancement Foundation (GRSAF) to donate art supplies to students in the Grand Rapids district. Due to recent budget cuts, the GRSAF has taken over the responsibility for raising 100% of the funds for art and music supplies for the school district and the 19,000 youth that it serves. Show your support for the arts and bring your donation of art supplies to the League Convention. A donation box will be available near registration. Items could include, but are not limited to crayons, markers, watercolors, paint sets, colored pencils, drawing paper, etc. To learn more about the GRSAF, click here. This is a can't-miss session available to League members from the comfort of their own computer. Talk about efficiencies! Attend this one-hour session from your own office without expending a single cent on gasoline. Register today!
Online Silent Auction Contribute to the silent auction by bidding or donating an item. This annual event held at the League Convention, this year October 4-7 in Grand Rapids, presents a great opportunity to bring home unique gifts representing communities across Michigan, or you can highlight your community, local businesses, and local talent by donating an item. We will again offer the online feature to our auction process. You will have the option to contribute and bid for donated items online prior to the live silent auction event. Funds raised through the MML Foundation's auctions help support the League's mission to enhance and develop leadership in local government. For more information on donating an item, call Deborah Walton-Medley at 734-662-3246.
