New Session Added at Capital Conference!
One of the first acts of this Legislature was to pass PA 4 of 2011, the Local Government and School District Fiscal Accountability Act which replaces PA 72 of 1990. While passage of the act grabbed national headlines and spurred protests, most communities will never find themselves under an Emergency Financial Manager’s (EFM) control. It is, however, very important that local leaders understand the important changes and triggers of the new EFM process. Join a panel of experts who will explain the new Act and answer any questions you may have.
